Swampcake brings you sweet feel-good sounds from 60’s-era R&B and soul steeped in the swampy swagger of New Orleans blues and funk. Keyboard wizard Christian Eck channels the soulful blues of heroes Ray Charles and Dr. John while Louisiana native Kirk Duplantis lays down stank-face inducing funk grooves that the body cannot resist moving to. All the while guitarist Jonathan Salazar is adding driving percussive funk rhythms, hot fiery blues licks or the sweet sauce of dulce jazz-influenced guitar chords. Swampcake shows are upbeat and interactive. We started playing shows for our friends in backyard parties and we love to bring that vibe to wherever we play.
